Morning walk

Had some time to kill before a dentist appointment. Enjoyed a walk through a park in a wonderfully overcast Spring morning.

Took some photos since I've been itching to get back into that habit. Instagram ruined it for me for a while by making it a numbers game. Maybe there's a better place to keep them online, where others can see them, that it's so "social media"? Drop me an email if you have any suggestions!

In the meantime, please enjoy the photos and try to imagine the slight morning chill, the damp that comes from living in a city by a river, the almost invisible fog, the distant sounds of cars and people.

Dark green hill dotted with lampposts, assorted trees and a larger, leafy tree as its centerpiece. It sits against an overcast sky in various shades of gret and pale blue.

Pond with a couple of bevelled cement rectangles sticking out of the water - I'm not sure that they serve any practical purpose. Beyond it, a low treeline is visible, with a larger stone structure appearing in the distance.

Curved stone pathway cutting a path across grass, enclosed on both sides by trees big and small. Some buildings are visible between the trees.

A statue of two girls standing close together. One is whispering in the other's ear while holding her arm. The statue is called "The Secret" and it stands on a circular plateau paved in stone. Around it are a couple of trees, and buildings are visible in the background.

A wall of blue tiles with some sort of vines growing above it. The vines have begun their descent into the tiles, creating a very nice contrast between blue and green, but also between Nature and man-made structures.
